Akshay Kumar says, “For youngsters in India, gaming is becoming an important form of entertainment. With FAU-G, I’m hoping that as they play the game they will learn about the sacrifices of our soldiers and also contribute to the families of the martyrs; and with this, each one of us has the ability to support PM Modi’s vision of Atma Nirbhar.”
The game will be developed by a Bengaluru based gaming publisher nCore Games which is backup by Indian entrepreneur Mr Vishal Gondal as one of the major Investor. The game is expected to be launched at the end of October. It will be available on the Play Store and App Store.
PLAYER THOUGHTS
After the announcement of the game, the Indian PUBG Mobile community has expressed their views regarding the game. The players have welcomed the game with positive thoughts but questioned its existence as an esports game in the country. To let the game excel into esports field, it has to be acclaimed globally. Which cannot be seen in this case as 20% of the revenue is donated to the trust run and owned by the Indian Government.
TSMEntSid, Manager of TSM India stated, ” This isn’t any hope. This isn’t going to help us for there to be an esports scene. This game has to be played by every region in the world or have some sort of tie-up with PUBG to eventually compete at a global level. This might take care of the hobby gamer but professionals and aspiring esports players will still suffer.”
To let you know, PUBG Mobile has boosted the esports scenario in India from last 2 years. The game has given many players the opportunity of starting their career as a professional esports athlete. If the ban would not be lifted up, many Indian teams would not be able to compete in the upcoming PUBG Mobile Pro League 2020 South Asia. The event is expected to have a prize pool around 200,000 USD (Approx 1.45 Cr INR). The way to the biggest Global Championship is also closed for the teams which have the prize pool of 20,00,000 USD (Approx 14.5 Cr INR).
