Game 1
BLG started the series on a strong note. They out-drafted Gen.G in the first game to get their comfort champion picks. While the game seemed even until the mid-game, BLG started engaging Gen.G after their carry champions scaled up. They won almost every team fight to register a win and get a lead in the series.
Game 2
The second game between the two teams was the closest one in the series. Both BLG and Gen.G played patiently and secured map objectives to build up for the late game. When Gen.G gained a slight lead over BLG, the LPL second seed outplayed them in the 27th minute Baron team fight to turn the match completely in their favor. From thereon, BLG looked unstoppable and closed the game in 41 minutes.

Game 3
Even with their backs against the wall, Gen.G seemed to stick to a similar draft in the third game. This lack of adaptation proved deadly against BLG’s strategy. We saw BLG’s ON setting up amazing plays to give his team an edge in team fights. Gen.G was not able to overcome BLG’s better team coordination and hence got completely whitewashed.
League of Legends fans saw BLG’s entire lineup stepping up and delivering on the big stage. Bin and Elk were phenomenal in their roles while ON, Xun, and Yagao played perfectly around their carry champions to win games.
BLG has silenced all haters with this 3-0 clean sweep upset over Gen.G. They will advance to the Lower Bracket Finals and compete against T1. The winner of that series will get to face JDG in the Grand Finals. Meanwhile, today’s loss will kick out Gen.G from the race to become Mid-Season Invitational 2023 champions.
