BLAST Premier World Final 2021: Team Vitality, G2 Esports, and Natus Vincere qualify for the next stage. There were 3 series held in between teams on Day 2 of the BLAST Premier World Final 2021. All of these were best-of-3 match series. Except for the first one, the other two series can be considered a stomp done by the winning team. Here is a detailed recap of everything that happened on Day 2 of the BLAST Premier World Final 2021.

  1. The first map was Nuke and G2 started on the CT  side while NIP had the T side. In the first half, NIP played brilliantly and got a 10-5 round score in their favor. G2 looked to bounce back in the second half but their efforts were cut short as NIP won 6 rounds and won the Nuke map with a 16-11 round score.
  2. The second map was Dust 2 where G2 started on the T side, while NIP got the CT side. Both teams were very close in the first half as the round scores were 8-7 for NIP and G2 respectively. In the second half, G2 played beautifully and won 9 rounds against 3 of NIP. This helped G2 to win Dust 2 with a 16-11 score.
  3. The deciding third map was Inferno. G2 started on the CT side while NIP was on the T side. We witnessed a dominating performance by G2 in the first half as they took a 10-5 round score lead over NIP. Although NIP looked to bounce back in the second half, G2 managed to get 6 rounds at the end. It helped them to win Inferno with a 16-14 score against NIP.

With this 2-1 series win, G2 Esports will now advance to the Upper Brackets  Semifinals where they will face Team Vitality. Ninjas in Pyjamas get knocked down to the Lower Bracket where they will fight Astralis.

Astralis vs Team Vitality

  1.  The first map was Nuke and Team Vitality started on the CT side while Astralis was on the CT side. Vitality dominated the first half as they got a 12-3 round score against Astralis. They continued this form in the second half and won 4 quick rounds against 1 from Astralis. It helped Team Vitality to win in Nuke with a 16-4 round score.
  2. Mirage was the second map and Team Vitality started on the T side while Astralis was on CT. Vitality continued its momentum from the first map here. In the first half, they got a 10-5 round score while in the second half, they got a 6-1 round score against Astralis. This dominating performance helped Team Vitality to win in Mirage with a 16-6 round score.

After doing a clean sweep, Team Vitality will now advance into the Upper Brackets Semifinals to face G2 Esports. Astralis will be knocked down into Lower Bracket where they will face Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Natus Vincere vs Heroic

  1. The first map was Mirage and NAVI started on the CT side while Heroic was on T. NAVI dominated them in the first half by getting a 12-3 round score. In the second half, both teams got a 3-3 round score and NAVI won the Mirage map against Heroic.
  2. The second map was Nuke and NAVI started on the T side while Heroic was on the CT side. NAVI took a leaf over Heroic in the first half with a 9-6 round score. In the second half, Heroic made a comeback to force overtime with their own 9-6 round score against NAVI. NAVI easily won 4 rounds continuously in overtime and got Nuke in their bag of victories.

With a 2-0 win, Natus Vincere will now advance in the Lower Bracket while Heroic is out of the tournament.
