BLAST Premier World Final 2021: Gambit Esports secured the first spot at the grand final. On Day 5 of the BLAST Premier World Final 2021, the top 4 teams battled to advance further into the tournament. Gambit Esports went up against Team Vitality while Team Liquid faced Natus Vincere. Both the best-of-3 match series looked one-sided as Gambit Esports and Natus Vincere won by 2-0 against their opponent team. Here is a recap of how everything went down.

Gambit Esports vs Team Vitality

  1. The first map was Vertigo and Vitality started on the CT side while Gambit was on the T side. The first half was in Vitality’s favor as they got a 9-6 score lead over Gambit. But Gambit bounced back in the second half by winning 10 rounds against Vitality’s 4. With a 16-13 score, Gambit won in Vertigo.
  2. In the second map Dust2, Vitality began on the T side, and Gambit was on CT. Both teams were quite close as they took one-round leads in each half of the game. It resulted in a 15-15 round score that forced overtime. Gambit triumphed over Vitality in overtime and won in Dust2.

With a 2-0 win, Gambit Esports will now qualify for the Grand Finals of the BLAST Premier World Finals 2021. Team Vitality falls into the Lower Bracket where they will face Natus Vincere for a chance to make it back to the Grand Finals.

Natus Vincere vs Team Liquid

  1. The first map was Dust2 and Liquid started on the CT side while NAVI was on T. Liquid gained a good lead over NAVI by taking a 9-6 round score in the first half. But NAVI bounced back by getting a 10-1 round score over Liquid in the second half and winning the Dust2 map.
  2. The second map was Inferno with NAVI starting on CT and Liquid on T. In the first half, NAVI took a good lead over Liquid by getting a 9-6 round score. They continued the momentum in the second half and won 7 rounds as compared to Liquid’s 5. With a 16-11 score, NAVI was victorious over Liquid on Inferno.

The 2-0 win helped Natus Vincere to advance to the Lower Bracket Finals where they will face Team Vitality. For Team Liquid, their journey in the BLAST Premier World Final 2021 ends here.
