The title replaced PUBG Mobile in the country, providing similar features to the mass audience of India. However, twelve months later, BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) experienced a similar outcome as it was blocked under Section 69A IT Act.
Since then, it has been more than nine months and gamers are looking for effective solutions for its return. Recently, there have been rumors around the return of the title with reports flooding in as well as Esports Individuals making bold claims.

Battlegrounds Mobile India aka BGMI was blocked in July 2022 and there have been minor updates here and there. However, the title is yet to have any notable changes or fixes in-game. A report from New18 popped up a few weeks back, claiming that Battlegrounds Mobile India would be returning in April or May 2023.
Popular Esports individuals including Shiva Nandy also expressed similar opinions on the same. However, as of now, the possibility of return is looking very slim. Other major happenings that featured in the recent few days are the signings of players in Esports Organizations. Revenant Esports reinforced their squad with the inclusion of Sensei, and Maavi and if things go well we can see organizations making more signings in the coming weeks.
Although there have been strong rumors of the title returning, KRAFTON and the Government of India are yet to put out any statement regarding the same. Hence, there are no choices for gamers but to wait for official clarification. We are approaching the month of May and let’s see if there are any changes in the plan for KRAFTON.
