Krafton has announced a new esports event “BGMI Freedom Face-off” that will take place on the day of Indian Independence Day. India has become a major market for Battlegrounds Mobile India, a popular battle royale game on mobile devices.
Millions of players have been drawn to the game by its innovative gameplay and vibrant graphics. The game style and esports events that Krafton organizes are unique. On August 15, 2021, India’s Independence Day will be celebrated with an Esports event. Krafton’s official YouTube channel releases a video promoting the event.

On August 15th, 2021 at 12 PM, the official video states the event will take place. Indian Independence Day and the Indian Bravehearts are being commemorated at this event. This special day will be celebrated by 16 top teams from around India. In total, 1,50,000 Indian rupees will be awarded in this tournament. Krafton will be telecasting the tournament live on its YouTube channel and its official Facebook page on 15th August from 12 pm.

BGMI India Series is currently in the registration phase, This will be Krafton’s third announced event and their second organized event. It was a great success last month when 16 Youtubers competed for a prize pool of 6,00,000 Indian rupees at the launch party for the Battlegrounds Mobile India app. The first-place team was Snax Gaming, and the second and third places were Kronten and Ronak. Team Ind dominated the competition by winning five consecutive chicken dinners. BGIS is BGMI’s biggest event and has a total prize pool of 1,00,00,000 INR. The registration phase is still ongoing.
