Recently the famous battle royale game by Krafton ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’ has been removed from the play site and app store in India. While this may sound like a small issue, it is not the case. The sudden ban has affected many players all around the country.
In a statement to HT tech, Krafton has said that they do not have any kind of information regarding the ban. The ban has left them surprised and they will be giving us all the specific information as soon as they get any. Here’s what Krafton said, “We are clarifying how BGMI was removed from the Google Play store and the App store and will let you know once we get specific information.”
On the other hand, the news report says that the game has faced a ban due to invoking section 69A of the IT Act. Section 69A of the IT Act states that the government has the power to restrict access to any content in the interest of sovereignty and integrity of the country, security of the state, friendly relations with foreign states, or public order. That game was also suddenly removed without any announcements.
