Battlegrounds Mobile India is the most popular battle royale game in India. The game version of PUBG Mobile is dedicated to the Indian audience. After facing the ban in September 2020, the Mobile gaming industry was at the brim with rarely happening mobile esports.
The game was finally launched in India by Krafton after an extensive effort. After its initial launch on June 18th, 2021, and stable release on July 2nd, 2021, after which Krafton has announced the esports event “The Launch Party” where several famous Indian YouTubers/Streamers played with their team where Team Snax was crowned as ultimate champions.
We are now entering the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series, which is an open tournament. Following a poster release yesterday, Krafton has now released a trailer on their official YouTube channel. Here is everything you need to know.

BGMI India Series: Schedule
The registration for the tournament is starting on July 19th, 2021, where players residing in India and above Platinum rank at the time of the registration are eligible. The tournament will kickstart on August 2nd, 2021. The grand finale of which held between 7th– 10th October 2021.
BGMI India Series: Format
The format for the tournament will be as follows:
In-game qualifiers: 2nd-8th August- The registered squad will play 15 matches, from which the best 10 will be considered. 1024 teams will qualify for the next round.
Online qualifiers: 17th Aug- 12th Sep- The above-qualified teams will be informed via mail and will play online qualifiers in the rooms provided by Krafton. 64 teams will qualify for the next round.
Quarter-Finals: 16th-26th September- 64 top teams from online qualifiers will compete in the quarter-finals, and 24 top teams across India will advance to the next round. Here is where the streaming of matches is expected to begin.
Semi-Finals: 30th Sep-3rd Oct- For the ultimate prize, the top 24 teams will battle it out, with only 16 qualifyings for the next phase, Grand Finale.
The Grand Finals: 7th-10th October- The most prominent and best teams around India will fight for the prize pool of 1 crore INR.

The total prize pool in winning is 1 crore which will be distributed as followed:

- Second Place- INR 25,00,000
- Third Place- INR 10,00,000
