Battlegrounds Mobile India: Krafton Teases biggest BGMI Esports Tournament. After a brief period of leaving the game in early access, KRAFTON has officially launched Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), thrilling fans and stakeholders for the game’s future. While the response to the game’s unveiling has been overwhelmingly positive on social media, fans were eagerly waiting for an announcement regarding the Esports tournament in Battlegrounds Mobile India. Krafton has finally teased the first tournament in Battlegrounds Mobile India on their Official Instagram handle
In an Announcement, Krafton Stated that,

However krafton didn’t mention further dates and schedule regarding this tournament but it is expected to take place immediate after Streamers Battle. The official BGMI website provides little information other than the fact that it will be available soon. The esports competition should be comparable to what PUBG Mobile esports were before the game was banned by the Indian government. If the regulations do not change, a player should be allowed to assemble a four-person team to compete in the qualifying matches.

Kraton’s Esports Commitment
Krafton, the creator of BGMI, has provided an update on its ambitions for an esports ecosystem in the country. Krafton said in November that it aims to invest $100 million (about Rs. 746 crores) in India to develop video games, e-sports, and other businesses.
Krafton has invested a significant amount of money in India’s esports sector, including a $9 million USD investment in streaming platform Loco and a $22.5 million investment in India’s premier event organizer NODWIN Gaming earlier this year.
Krafton Announced Streamers Battle
In a recent statement, Krafton announced the inaugural BGMI esports tournament, The Streamers Battle. “The most magnificent Launch Party of 2021 is here!” said the video, which was officially broadcast on Battlegrounds Mobile India’s Youtube page today. The heat will be turned up on your favorite teams! Watch them thrill you by playing India Ka Game.” The tournament will be held on July 8th and 9th, 2021, with a prize pool of 6,00,000 INR.
