Asmongold voices opinion on Somali’s arrest in Japan calling his actions “willfully malicious” – Controversial Kick streamer Johnny Somali has found himself in trouble in Japan after a series of incidents that led to his arrest and subsequent criminal charges. While many may argue that he deserves jail time for his disruptive behavior, popular Twitch star Asmongold has taken a different stance. He suggested that deportation would be a more fitting solution.
Somali’s actions during his trip to Japan were far from decent. He upset locals, incited conflicts with fellow streamers, and even engaged in live-streamed brawls. His legal troubles began with an arrest for trespassing into a construction site in September, followed by another arrest for causing a disturbance in a beef bowl restaurant.

As news of Somali’s potential jail time spread, Asmongold shared his perspective during a recent Twitch stream. He expressed the belief that deportation would be a more reasonable course of action, primarily to save Japanese taxpayers from the financial burden of housing a detainee.
While Asmongold admitted that seeing Somali in jail might be satisfying from a punitive perspective, he emphasized that it was essential to consider the financial implications of incarceration. “Just get him the f**k out of the country and have him never come back,” Asmongold exclaimed.
Nonetheless, Asmongold did not shy away from condemning Somali’s actions, which he deemed “willfully malicious.” He pointed out that Somali had visited Japan with the intention of causing trouble, being obnoxious, and acting disruptively, making his actions reprehensible.
As of now, Johnny Somali remains in custody in Japan, and the outcome of his charges will only be determined once he either stands trial or pleads guilty. The debate over whether deportation or jail time is the more appropriate response to his actions continues.
