They touched upon all the aspects of kickstarting their streaming career, with money being the primary focus.
Asmongold and Emiru share their journey of starting a streaming career
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that when someone selects a career route for themselves, they are typically motivated by a combination of interest, skill, and—possibly most importantly—salary. Asmongold and Emiru essentially revealed this information regarding their streaming careers.
Asmongold and Emiru discussed why they started streaming on Twitch in the most recent edition of the Steak and Eggs podcast with Tectone. “I started Twitch because I wanted money,” stated Asmongold. “That’s unironically why I started streaming, I was making some money on Youtube but like man, ‘we really have to start making some more money here’ and I started streaming on Twitch, and that’s how it happened.”
Asmongold bluntly stated that money was the primary motivating factor behind starting a streaming career. Emiru also nodded to this and shared her experience in this aspect. She recounts a similar background of how she started creating content, but she added information to clarify the situation.
“For me, it was pretty much the same cause I was playing League so much, and I also wanted a job at the time,” explains Emiru. “My friend was like ‘why don’t you just play League on Twitch, like, some people get hundreds or thousands of dollars in donations’, and then I mean it worked out so.”
This obviously shows how money can bind passion and career. If it was not for the lucrative financial growth streaming platform provided, we mightn’t have come across some of our favorite streamers.
