Arena of Valor International Championship 2021 will be held to celebrate the game’s 5th Anniversary. The Arena of Valor Championship 2021 is the fifth concurrent World Championship that will be organized by Tencent Games and Garena. To celebrate the Arena of Valor’s 5th Anniversary, the prize pool of the tournament has been set as $1,000,000 US Dollars. There will be 14 teams who will appear in this championship after qualifying from the 8 regions of the world respectively. The entire tournament will be online and all the participating teams will be playing from their home venues.

The teams have been divided into two groups as follows.

GROUP A:

1. AG Super Play (China Invitee)
2. Buriram United Esports (Road to AIC)
3. MAD Team (GCS Summer)
4. dtac Talon Esports (RPL Winter)
5. Team Olympus (Korea Invitee)
6. V Gaming (AOG Winter)
7. X eSports (Japan Qualifier)

GROUP B:

1. ArchAngel (ASL Winter)
2. Hong Kong Attitude (GCS Summer)
3. ONE Team (GCS Summer)
4. Saigon Phantom (AOG Winter)
5. Team Flash (AOG Winter)
6. UndeRank (MSP Qualifier)
7. Valencia CF eSports (RPL Winter)

Arena of Valor International Championship 2021: Format and Schedule

The format of the championship tournament will be as follows:

Group Stages will be held from 27th November to 5th December.

•  There will be two groups with 7 teams each and a maximum of 2 teams can be present from AOG, GCS, and RPL in one group.
• The teams will play a best of 2 match series with a Single Round-Robin format while following the Global Ban-Pick Rules
• If a team wins the series by 2-0, they get 3 points, if there is a 1-1 draw, both teams get 1 point each, and losing 0-2 does not give you any point.
• The four teams at the top of the table after the Group Stage will qualify for the Knockout Stages while the last three teams will be eliminated from the tournament.

Knockout Stages will be held from 9th till 19th December

• Apart from the Grand Finals, all the other matches in the Knockout Stage will follow a Double Elimination Bracket system.
•  The first round in both the Upper Bracket and Lower Bracket will be a best of 5 match series.
• All the remaining matches will be played in a best of 7 match series.
• The Global Ban-Pick Rules will be applied to every match.

Prize Pool Distribution

The event has a massive prize pool of $1,000,000 with every team receiving a part of it according to the following rankings.

1. The winner will get $400,000.
2. The runners-up will get $200,000.
3. The team in 3rd place will get $150,000.
4. The team in 4th place will get $50,000.
5. Teams in between the 5th till 8th places will get $25,000 each.
6. Teams in between the 9th till 14th places will get $5,000 each.

There are also MVP awards for the players taking part in the tournament.

1. The Grand Finals MVP will receive $20,000.
2. The Best Line-Up for Dark Slayer, Jungle, Mid, Abyssal Dragon, and Support will receive $7,000 each.
