Arena of Valor International Championship 2021: Buriram United Esports make a comeback to become the champions
1st Game
In the first game, BRU played safely against VGM’s aggressive plays. BRU focused on map objectives like turrets, while VGM was roaming the map fruitlessly as they could don’t get any kills. VGM finally picked up a double kill on the top lane but BRU managed to lower its impact by taking turrets in other lanes. After taking the slayer, BRU finally took a lead and closed the game, making it a BRU 1-0 VGM score.
2nd Game
In the early game, BRU played aggressively and was able to pick up some kills. This helped them to get a solid lead. But, VGM bounced back in the mid-game by rotating and catching BRU players off guard multiple times. This helped them to take objectives and in turn, win the game which equaled the score to BRU 1-1 VGM.
3rd Game
BRU was able to take a lead in the early game against VGM thanks to their better rotation. This helped them to take early kills and also important map objectives. But VGM took down turrets whenever they got kills and this helped them to become equal with BRU. VGM then baited and ambushed BRU heroes to create a chance that helped them to win the game. With this win, the scores were BRU 1-2 VGM in their favor.
4th Game
BRU fell back in the early game as VGM took many kills and game objectives. VGM draft pick heroes were better than BRU’s and this helped them have many advantages in team fights. In a final fight in the bottom lane, BRU was picked apart by VGM who then went on to push and win the game. The score was BRU 1-3 VGM and the next game was their match point.
5th Game
This game was do-or-die for BRU and they stepped up their game here. With proper aggressive gameplay and map control tactics, BRU was able to take a good lead over VGM. VGM looked to capitalize by cornering BRU players one by one and getting kills on them. BRU played defensively from there and finally the 23rd minute, they were able to pick off VGM players and destroy their base successfully. The score became BRU 2-3 VGM.
6th Game
The sixth game was clearly a dominant performance from the side of BRU. Their player synergy was fantastic as they were able to ace all the members of VGU in nine minutes and get the top inhibitor tower. VGM was able to make a comeback by stealing objectives like Dragons and Slayers. BRU finally managed to get a Dark Lord Slayer and with its help wipe the VGM team to win the game. The scores get tied with 3-3 for both teams.
7th Game
In the last game, VGM played aggressively from the start as they wanted to end the game as fast as possible. But BRU was able to defend and allow its players to farm their scaling heroes for the late game. In the mid-game, there were a lot of ganks and team fights in which both teams traded kills equally. Even though VGM continuously got Dragons and Slayers, BRU was still able to keep pace with them as their heroes scaled better in late-game. By taking the 5th Dark Slayer, BRU successfully pushed and destroyed VGM’s base to complete a reverse sweep.
