2022 Roadmap for Wild Rift Esports in the Latin America region released. On 27th September, eBRO Gaming won the Latin American regional Wild Rift tournament called Lolcito Salvaje Abierto. After having a successful 2021 season, League of Legends Wild Rift has presented its plans to expand its esports scene in the Latin American region. Here are the details of the 2022 roadmap.
Wild Rift LATAM Esports in 2022
- There will be two seasons. The first one will begin in January and finish in April. The second season will begin in November and will continue until 2023.
- In the off-season, there will still be various Wild Rift tournaments at various regional, national, and community levels. It will ensure that the competitive scene does not halt.
- Anyone can apply to be a part of the upcoming Wild Rift LATAM esports scene. This link will activate from 7th January 2022 where aspiring teams can enroll for the tournament.
- The north and south regions of Latin America will have different qualifying stages. But the teams from both regions will face off against each other in the final phase. Here, they will fight to establish themselves as the top teams that will represent the Latin American region at international tournaments.
Wild Rift LATAM Open Stage
- Teams can register themselves for this through this link.
- There will be a total prize pool of $25,000.
- There will be 3 open stages played in each region. (North and South)
- Even more than 256 teams can participate in each Open Stage.
- It will be conducted online.
- To filter out the teams from 512 to 16, they will play a best-of-3 match series.
- From there on, the teams will play a best-of-5 to determine the top 8 teams.
- Teams will receive points according to their ranking in the Open Stages. These points will be used to determine the qualification of teams for the next stage.
- After all the three open stages are finished, the top 8 teams from each region that have the highest accumulated points will advance to the next stage.
Wild Rift LATAM Closed Stage
- It will be held online.
- From both the North and South regions, the top 8 teams will compete against each other in separate closed leagues.
- The competition stage will last for 14 days.
- After the closed stage ends, the top 4 teams from each of the North and South regions will advance to the next stage.
Wild Rift LATAM Playoffs
- It will be held offline.
- The top 4 teams from both the North and South regions will meet up and be seeded according to their placings in the previous closed stage.
- It will follow a double-elimination format.
- All the matches against the teams will be a best-of-5 series. Only the Grand Finals will be a best-of-7 match series.
- The total prize pool will be $50,000.
- The qualifications for other international Wild Rift events will be up for taking here.

Wild Rift LATAM Esports Streaming
Fans can catch all the action of Stage 2 and Stage 3 of each season. In the first season of 2022, closed leagues will air from Tuesday through Friday between February 1 to April 15. The in-person playoffs will broadcast from May 2 to 8. Fans can check out the WildRift LATAM channels on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch to find all the matches.
