2022 DOTA 2 The International 11 Finals Weekend Day 1: Tundra Esports qualifies for the Grand Finals at TI11 – At The International 2022 tournament, Tundra Esports has had a strong showing. They earned the first spot in Group B and had a strong run throughout the Upper Bracket. Today, they defeated Team Secret to qualify for the Grand Finals at TI11. It is a grand achievement for the organization that formed just last year and had failed to qualify for The International 2021.

Apart from Tundra, Team Liquid also defeated Team Aster to qualify for the Lower Bracket Final. Now, the final three teams at The International 11 comprise only European teams. Here is the recap of the Finals Weekend Day 1.

LOWER BRACKET – ROUND 5

  • TEAM ASTER VS TEAM LIQUID
    • Aster had previously defeated Liquid in the Upper Bracket of TI11. But they could not repeat that as Liquid had come prepared this time. Although Aster won a game in a dominant fashion, Liquid was able to create opportunities in the other two ones. They capitalized on these chances to win the two games and kicking out the non-EU team and ending the hopes of Chinese fans.
UPPER BRACKET FINALS
  • TEAM SECRET VS TUNDRA ESPORTS
    • Both teams have been looking strong at TI11 and finally met again in the Upper Bracket after competing with each other in Group B. Similar to how they have performed in the Group Stage, Tundra dominated Secret again. Secret was only able to register a win in one game where they were able to be neck-to-neck with their opponents. Otherwise, Tundra was able to snowball in the other two games and win with a massive lead.

With the conclusion of these matches, we are just a day away from crowning the champion team that will lift the Aegis of Champions this year. After their loss to Team Liquid, Team Aster’s journey in the tournament ends here.

On the other hand, Tundra Esports made a statement by reaching the Grand Finals of TI11. The organization had failed to even qualify for the event the previous year. Team Liquid and Team Secret will face each other in the Lower Bracket Finals tomorrow to decide which team will get a chance to compete with Tundra to become the 2022 DOTA 2 The International 11 champion.

Stay tuned to get more of such latest updates from the DOTA 2 and the ongoing tournament.
