19th Asian Games Esports Titles: OCA announces the removal of Hearthstone from the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou as a medal event – Blizzard Entertainment made a card-based digital game Hearthstone. This game has been placed in the esports medal event for the upcoming 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. The decision was taken at the fifth coordination committee meeting of the 19th Asian Games. But now the game got canceled.

The total number of eSports medal events in the 19th Asian Games esports drop to seven. The organizing committee of the Hangzhou 19th Asian Games has confirmed this news on their official Twitter page.

Previously India’s Tirth Mehta had won the bronze medal in Hearthstone when the game was held in Jakarta, which was the 2018 Asian Games. In the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou, fans will see eSports as an official medal event for the first time in the history Asian Games. The 7 games that will be played in this event include League of Legends, Dota 2, FIFA, Street Fighter V, Arena of Valor, Dream Three Kingdoms 2, and PUBG Mobile.

Previously the 19th Asian Games was going to happen from 10th to 25th September 2022 but got postponed due to covid-19. Now it is going to happen from 23rd September to 8th October 2023 and this time we are going to see 7 esports games in the event.
